The battle between the Kurdish tribesmen of Sadiq Xan against Fath-Ali Shah Qajar for the throne of Iran, depicted in a manuscript from 1810:
Abd al Razzaq Donboli, a contemporary Kurdish chronicler to the event of the murder of Agha Mohammad Khan Qajar, mentions where the Qajar treasures, including the Kiani crown, went in the immediate aftermath of the assassination:
The assassins secretly took the royal crown, together with other implements and furniture of kingship such as the bejeweled armbands, the decorated foe-exterminating sword, the jewelry chest, and other items, every part of which was an ornament on the body and shoulders of the world rulers of the time and offered it to (the Kurdish chieftain) Sadiq Xan.
